Tripin' poem.

TRIPPIN’

I’m off again to the land of sun
when it isn’t covered by smog.
Although we’ve been there many times,
the big bridge is covered in fog.

But we’re heading out, not to see the sun
or the sights of a great big city.
We’re going to see our new grandson
who is very little bitty.

If he screams a lot, we might take a walk
and leave him with the nanny.
If he laughs and coos and takes a long snooze
I’ll be the perfect granny.

So, goodbye to you all for a while again.
When I return I’ll have back surgery.
But if I can climb the stairs, I’ll check the den
And read about dreams, lovely... and dirty.
