TIED
Late afternoons we walked toward the sun.
Twenty vacations and almost that many beaches.
The scene was always the same -
Steps in silent anger.
The waves beating, feeling beaten.
Desperate for the pain to end.
What was it all about anyway?
Turning around with the sun at our backs.
Short lived solutions, temporary peace.
