THE WINDOW
The window holds my attention
and rain-soaked Nandinas.
I sit in my constant chair
looking out on drops,
temporarily captured by
sprouts of spring.
My mind is saturated
with fear and boredom.
Sadness overpowers me
and turns into a wash
of cobalt blue.
