Janet Brice Parker
Swamp Song
Silver-gray moss drapes across a sun spattered street.
Golden patterns dance under a sanctuary of live oak trees.
A richness that only the south can provide.
Bayou calls in swampy voices. Echos of memories from a time long ago. A bitter-sweet cry
That begs once again to be given a place in the past.
