MY ANSWER
Whirling, unclean
particles made their
way into my lungs.
Did my mother
bite into the earth
where fruit was deadly
and vegetation corrupt?
Or were infectious
demons waiting to embroil
my existence at birth?
If my crippling days
could be altered .healed
by the implantation of
bits and pieces of
a life eliminated,
I would say, “no.”
For in the arms of
memory, I sadly hold
onto two perfect lives
who were dissolved.
