KRISTINA CALLED

Kristina called to tell me,
to give me the wonderful news
I’d be a grandmother one more time.
I was wondering, “pinks or blues?”

She said she didn’t know yet
what the new little baby would be.
We laughed and talked, I could “see” her smile,
and her eyes sparkle like the sea.

I was happy and so excited inside
as we ended our conversation.
I was floating, then slowly opened my eyes.
A dream! An hallucination!

But something stayed excited in me
because I knew that I knew for sure
I had experienced a prophetic dream.
It was just that simple and pure.

Two weeks later on Christmas day
my son called to tell me the news.
I’d be a grandmother one more time.
I was thinking, “I had a few clues.”
