CAMP PARKER

Our rustic little house, “Camp Parker” is tucked into a hillside and is our dream home.

Life within its’ walls is cozy, welcoming, eclectic. Mismatched yard sale furnishings create a cheerful background for music which flows throughout every room.

Guests are graced with soft white bathrobes, a basket of bottled water and snacks and fresh soap next to the claw foot tub.

In a way, our home resembles a bed and breakfast but you’ll get a bed and frozen biscuits instead.

The screened in porches are inviting. The downstairs porch is a  wonderful place for reading and morning coffee or an afternoon drink. The upstairs porch is like a tree house and encompasses an antique iron bed and camp decor. Adventurous guests are welcome to experience outdoor living but we recommend spring or fall for comfortable sleeping. We after all live in hot humid Alabama.

Our home is surrounded by large lush trees. The sun shines often and sends patterns of light through green summer leaves and colorful leaves of fall.

If our close friends and relatives want to come stay just give us fair warning and we’ll get ready for you.

This sounds like an add for an Air B. and B. but it isn’t.  We like the constant peace of our life at Camp Parker with our precious doodle, Grayson.
