THE CALL OF THE DAY

How are you doing, Mama?
Oh, not so very bad.
I’m sore down in my lower back
from the tumbling fall I had.

I’ve been right busy lately.
Played Bingo the other day.
didn’t win a single dime
But had fun, so that’s okay.

The Red Hat Club ate at Rosie’s.
I got indigestion and gas.
And when the whole thing was over,
I had to get back really fast.

Are you going to come to my luncheon?
I know you’ll enjoy it so much.
Louise is bringing her daughter, Sally.
Y’all need to get back in touch.

Are you playing Bridge today, Mama?
No, one of our foursome died.
Until we can find somebody else,
I guess our hands are tied.
