WHOSE CONTROL?
I’m driving toward
the end of the block,
while turning the corner
I notice the clock.
The clicking sound,
my ring on the wheel,
now deadly silent
time to kill.
Moving through
the pouring pain
the lights ahead
are dimmed by rain.
