You don’t want to see our movie.
You don’t want to read my rhymes.
Neither do you care for my free verse
which speaks of living and dying.

I won’t be here much longer
to fill in procrastinated words.
You might look into the stars
and wish you had only heard.

Heard of our Irish roots and
who gave them to you.
How many sisters did Ricie have?
or will you have no clue?

Or does the past just make you laugh?
You’ve got something better to do.

I was somewhat like you when I was  young,
just didn’t want too much to bear.
I was just too “busy” to ask and to learn
Because I didn’t care.
