THE BLAME

They say we were crazy,
a bunch of nuts.
Rebels, radicals,
hippies and such.

Our generation
invented the "gap."
Our parents were "dullsville,"
off of the map.

We were selfish, self-centered,
though, love was "free."
We wanted it all
for me, me, me!

But we've finally emerged
and climbed out of that crock.
It was never our fault!
It was Doctor Spock!
