SIGN-US FINISHED!

I don’t feel that I’m going to sneeze.
I don’t even feel like I must.
Years ago when I cleaned, a weekly routine,
I sneezed and I coughed and I cussed.

When I dusted and mopped and wiped,
tears rolled into my nose.
My eyes became blinking red lights.
My ears and my sinuses closed.

Now, the dust sits with me in my house.
Mold spores grow wall to wall.
They surround me, quiet as a mouse
along with enormous dust balls.

The dog sends hairs through the air
and they float in the fan’s lovely breeze.
He trots from here to there,
still, I hardly ever sneeze.

Cleaning is bad for one’s health.
It’s hard on the back and the knees.
So just give it up and enjoy yourself
and forget that you once coughed and sneezed.
