River Song

The singing river they called it.
The Yukis carved canoes out of fallen trees.
They paddled across the massive body of water.
Enemies hid behind rocks in wait.
But ancient caves offered protection.
A place for fires and families.
Now, descendants dance to the rhythm of drums
in honor of their ancestors and days gone by.
