PREPARATIONS

I’ve begun the leaving process
and writing these words.
I talk to God on a regular basis.
Today I put old pictures
In a fresh new album.
I’m fixing up the furniture that
Has been passed down.
I’m cleaning out my closets
and my mind.
I now have the strength to go.
