LOOKING FOR THE RIGHT ONE
Carrying deep
your put-down style.
Ten years with you
is quite a long while.
My questions are met
with lofty answers
while laughing at me.
Condescending manner.
You treat me like
I have no sense.
You shake your head
in self defense.
I thought a woman
would understand
be sympathetic,
much more than a man.
Do you really feel
concern at all?
You blow me off
when you’re on call.
Your loud demeanor
could practically kill.
“Here, you are,
just take these pills.”
But lately, your issues
are starting to grow.
Four hundred pounds
is a tough row to hoe.
You’re not about wellness.
You’re not about me.
So I’ll find someone else
with a medical degree.
