Journal Meanderings

Just because we knew each other in high school,
I guess you got the idea we were friends.
You started emailing me after we were grown.
You’d act nice for a period of time, then out
of the blue, you would attack me. Hateful, demeaning
words you spewed at me. All of a sudden you
showed me your evil side. You’re Dr. Jeckal and
Mr. Hyde. “When you were good, you were very
very good but when you were bad you were horrid”.
Hurtful, mean spirited, hard hearted, accusing, jealous!
Jealous of my status in life, my happy marriage, our
nice house, My upbringing as an only child.
Something made you mad eighteen years ago
and you held onto it until you decided to spit out venom
in my face. You twisted and formed a reality known
only to you! Your cruelty was born into a dysfunctional
family. You hated your mother, you hated your father
and you despised your sister. You had scholarships
to college and you flunked out. Three times married
and all failed. You are lonely in your stifling little
apartment. So, you sit at your computer and brag on
yourself to people who will eventually cut you out
of their lives because you are evil. You throw away friends
like trash because that’s how you think of them.
Then you’re lonely. You are physically unattractive
due to your accusatory nature. But if you had been
kind, you would have been beautiful.
