HELLO

It’s hard to say, “good-bye”
even for a short time.
You’ve become a daily
inspiration, with your
words bumping around in
my brain, keeping me alert,
generating emotions that
skyrocket into joy and
plummet from sadness
and empathy.
My muse will come from
a long lost friend in San
Diego.
The happiness I will feel
when I see her again.
Then, there will be Mexico
with music, the sea
And colors, always colors.
Lastly, my muse will come
in the vigorous activities of a
two-year-old who calls me
Jana B and makes my
heart melt.
No time for internet connections
when she is around.
But, I will think of all of you
while I’m gone, and before
you’ve even thought of me,
I’ll be back to say, “hello.”
