FACING THE CHANGE
Hormonal interruptions.
Sudden prickly heat.
Alternating attitudes.
Nothing seems concrete.
Monthly numbered cycles
as common as the moon.
Counted days aren’t
counted on.
Predictions lost, marooned.
Irritations magnified.
Impending tidal wave.
Emotions boiling
to the brink.
Intent on what I crave.
Nervous, sleepless,
tossing nights.
I’m begging for a change.
Needing to cross this bridge,
and let my hormones rearrange.
