Creative Types

I’ve gone crazy
a time or two
been put in the looney bin
cause I didn’t have a clue.

They say we are different,
us creative types.
I guess we’re a little off kilter,
cause our brains work from the right.

We’re writers, artists musicians,
designers and dancers too.
Sometimes we’re elated
at other times we’re sad and blue.

I guess it’s in our nature,
maybe it’s in the stars-
some of us align with Venus,
others think they came from Mars.

Some people say we’re gifted,
others think we’re nuts.
I once knew a creative type
who lived in the woods in a hut.

So now you know what  we’re really like.
