Closet Basket Case

A CLOSET BASKET CASE

I spend hours on my closet,
organize and rearrange.
Transfer all the clutter
‘cause my life depends on change.

The whites all go together,
then the blues and then the greens.
I’m panicked over what to do
with plaids and in-betweens.

I rid myself of hangers
multiplied from cleaners stock
I buy pretty colored new ones
to match each colored frock.

I stack up see-through boxes
filled with things not often used.
I purchase little shelves
for lining thirty pairs of shoes.

I’m so involved with keeping
all my clothes looking well kept
that I walk around in my underwear.
