Do you have any leads?

You see, Uncle Grover
owned a picture show
and Fanny’s daddy
made the movie films go.

Fanny would come by
after school
and talk to my grandpa
who worked there too.

I’ve written her letters,
so many times.
But I’ve never heard back
Not even a line.

I love her writing
I love her style.
She’s just so southern.
I laugh and I cry.

So, all you southern writers,
do you have any leads?
Do you have connections
I’m begging, I plead!

Wayne, can you help me?
You lived in Alabam.

Come out of the woodwork

I desperately want her
to read my book.
