Janet Brice Parker
A FORM OF PROTECTION
I drape myself like
an unused couch
Covered for vacation.
I’m hidden by the
clothes I wear-
Bags or a variation.
I hibernate beneath
the folds
Exude no definition.
The massive sheets
Protect my soul,
My body from envision.
